xx The Mass Effect 3 thread
« Thread started on: May 15th, 2011, 12:26pm »

Well since I started threads for Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age II I might well start one for Mass Effect 3.

We start off with some bad or good news (depending on your point view) Mass Effect 3 has been pushed back from Holiday 2011 to First Quarter of 2012. This is supposed to allow Bioware to make the game as epic as they can.

Confirmed as squadmates: Liara (YAY!), Ash/Kaiden (depends on who survived the first game), and Garrus (if he survived ME2). All of the surviving characters are slated to return in one form or another.

Have you downloaded The Arrival yet? If not then you should because events from The Arrival will lead directly into Mass Effect 3! It's also a pretty cool DLC as well.

Want to own the SSV Normandy SR2? Coming in October a replica of the ship will be released it has SMRP of $35? You can pre-order it at www.bigbadtoystore.com or you can order it from your local comic book store in the current issue of Diamond's Previews catalog it in with Dark Horse Comics section.

By the sounds of this article it seems to me that EA are trying their Damnedest to ruin yet another RPG by turning it into call of duty. http://www.next-gen.biz/news/mass-effect-3-delayed .......I have a horrible feeling that im going to disappointed again just like with DA:2...I really do despise EA.

Just announced at the E3 Xbox 360 press conference Mass Effect 3 will support Kinect. What was shown you can read the paraphrases on the dialogue wheel and Shepard will talk and you can control combat through Kinect voice.

I just saw the gameplay trailer on Spike TV and it looks AWESOME! The release date was announced: March 6, 2012.

I wasn't all that impressed because it seems like a waste of the Kinect's potentional for a feature that could (and has been done in the past) done by a normal headset. undecided

Yes, Mass Effect 3 will be released on the PS3. I should know because I preordered the collector's edition of Mass Effect 3 for both PS3 and the Xbox 360.

The reason why Mass Effect 1 has not been released on the PS3 is because it was published by Mircosoft Games Studios (and ME1 was released before EA bought Bioware) and I guess they apprently still hold the publishing rights to it.

For me the interactive comic works but just barely the adventues of Ferros are not included as well as some a lot of minor decesions that have an impact on the second game. This includes some NPC characters that don't return and some dialogue is cut out of the final game.

Which is the best time to play The Arrival (and Lair of the Shadow Broker too a certian degree) is after the sucide mission if you survive it.

I know what you mean all Bioware games take forever to save games, if you think it's slow in Mass Effect 2 the game saves (and load times in general) are even slower in Dragon Age: Origins.

They do have better load and save times in Dragon Age II.

Unfortunatly inspite of this DA:2 is a poor sequel to Origins in terms of both quality content, plot and diversity of the gameplay. The only main positive was a nice flowing battle system for me......HOWEVER Mass Effect on the other hand is progressivly getting better and I think relitivly slow load times are well worth it for what is an awesome game series.......The ME2 DLC is also well worth buying.
