xx Should I buy TNA Bound for Glory 2010 or skip it?
« Thread started on: Sep 28th, 2010, 4:45pm »

After almost a year of no wrestling PPVs I have been watching a few episodes of TNA Impact again while the results are mixed they do have some things that I like:

Abyss as a super heel!

Forture as a super heel faction. Flair looks more evil than he's ever been.

The MCMGs finally the TNA Tag Team Champions.

Samoa Joe finally being used in a way that makes sense.

Styles, Willaims, Kazarian, Joe, Anderson, Lethal, The Pope, RVD, Angle, and Hardy putting on great matches!

Tara and Madison Rayne kissing each other.

Things I don't like:
The X-Divison is a joke.

The Knockouts Divison is a joke it's been reduced to Madison Rayne and Tara feuding with Angelina Love and Velvet Sky (and occasionsally Taylor Wilde and Harmada).

AJ Styles as a heel. At least with Forture he's not acting like a moron and looks credible (he should lose Flair's ring robes though) but Styles has to be so over-the-top as a heel in his promos that he sounds like an idoit.

Sting as a heel. He can't sell evil.

Jarrett as a face. I miss the old evil Jarrett, I want the King of the Mountain back.

Where the hell is Daffney at?

Lacy Von Erich. Why is that talentless bitch still there?

nah...i seldom think wrestling PPV's are worth it. TNA, WWE, you never miss anything good. maybe if its lockdown where every match is a steel cage match, (which i'll still need to see a card) but, IMLTHO, no. TNA took away everything that made it stand apart, the X-Division, a halfway decent Knockouts Division, the six sided ring, young up-and-commers in the main event, i've said it before and i'll keep on saying it till im blue in the face, TNA has become WCW, and i don't like it

Don't care for sports games and the last fighting/wrestling/boxing/MMA game I fought was TNA Impact and I'm not paying $60 for a fighting/wrestling/boxing/MMA game again unless it's really, really, really great, they bore me really fast.

I tend to lean toward action/adventure games like: Transformers: War for Cybertron, Ghostbusters, Batman: Arkham Asylem, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Metal Gear Solid 4, Infamous, Resident Evil 5 and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam and RPGs like Dragon Age: Origins, Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and the soon-to-be released for the PS3 Fallout: New Vegas, Mass Effect 2, and Dragon Age 2.

As to Bound for Glory 2010, I decided to wait and see how the rest of the card is shapes up and how I feel on that day. Oct. 10th is my mother's death day.

I suggest Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. And if you do get it, download juggernaut, they take the DLC out of the Playstation store on 12/31/10.

The results from TNAWrestling.com

Quote:
- Tag Team Title: MCMG def. Generation Me
- Knockouts Title: Tara becomes the new champion
- Ink Inc def. Eric Young and Orlando Jordan
- X Division Title: Jay Lethal def. Douglas Williams
- Monster's Ball: Rob Van Dam def. Abyss
- Handicap Match: Sting, Kevin Nash & The Pope def. Samoa Joe & Jeff Jarrett
- Team 3D announced they are retiring as a tag team
- Lethal Lockdown: EV2 def. Fortune
- Main Event: Jeff Hardy def. Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson to become the NEW TNA World Heavyweight Champion! THEY were Hulk Hogan, Jeff Hardy, Eric Bischoff, Abyss and Jeff Jarrett!!!!

Complete Results are below:

- In the opening bout, The Motor City Machineguns defeat Generation Me to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championship! The MCMG used their "Skull and Bones" top rope splash combination finisher to win the bout.

- With Mickie James as special referee, Tara defeated Velvet Sky in the 4-Corners Knockouts Title Match to become the NEW TNA Knockouts Women's Champion! Madison Rayne was NOT happy that Tara won the gold! Tune into iMPACT for more on this situation between Tara and Madison!

- The team of Ink Inc defeated Eric Young and Orlando Jordan after Ink Inc hit a top rope neckbreaker on Jordan to get the win. Eric Young brought out a TNA Rule Book and stuck to the rules during the bout, even costing his own partner the match in the end!

- Jay Lethal retained the X Division Championship over Douglas Williams after reversing a top rope hurricanrana into a sunset flip for the pin! After the bout, Lethal went into the audience to celebrate with the fans, but was attacked by newcomers Robbie E and Cookie of The Shore! They attacked lethal with the X Title, then Cookie presented the championship to Robbie E!

- In a violent and barbaric Monster's Ball Match, Rob Van Dam beat Abyss after nailing him with the spiked "Janice" weapon and hitting the Five Star Frog Splash for the pin! Despite being beaten, Abyss delivered an ominous message about 10.10.10...who are THEY??

- In a handicap match, the trio of Sting, Kevin Nash and The Pope beat Samoa Joe and Jeff Jarrett. Late in the bout, Joe hit a kick on Nash and went to tag in Jarrett, but Jarrett dropped off the ring apron and left Joe! As Jarrett walked away, he left Joe to face the trio of Sting, Nash and Pope! Nash eventually hit his Jackknife Powerbomb finisher on Joe to get his team the win. What was behind Jarrett bailing on Joe?

- In a shocking turn of events, Team 3D came out to make the announcement that they are officially retiring as a tag team in wrestling! However, before they do, they want to face The Motor City Machineguns one last time! Tune into iMPACT on Thursday for more!

- In a chaotic Lethal Lockdown match, the members of EV2 defeated Fourtune when Tommy Dreamer got the pin and the win on AJ Styles after a Death Valley Driver off the top rope! Early on, Rhino was the final member of both teams into the cage before the cage lowered to begin Lethal Lockdown. Mick Foley and Ric Flair brawled on the outside! Kazarian set up a ladder above the ring and tried to annihilate Richards, but Kendrick appeared and put Kazarian through the table instead. The action went all over the arena before Dreamer ultimately got the win for EV2!

- In a shocking main event, Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Anderson and Kurt Angle to become the NEW TNA World Heavyweight Champion! During the bout, Eric Bischoff came out, but then Hulk Hogan's music played and he appeared on crutches! Inside the ring, Bischoff took the crutches from Hogan and gave them to Hardy, who used them on Anderson and Angle! Hardy hit the Swanton on Anderson to get the pin and become the new World Champion! After the bout, Abyss and Jeff Jarrett came out to celebrate with Hogan, Bischoff and Hardy! THEY were Hogan, Bischoff, Jarrett, Hardy and Abyss! The most controversial endings in TNA Wrestling history! After the bout, a shocked TNA President Dixie Carter looked on as Rob Van Dam came out to confront Hardy about what he did - in turn Hardy attacked RVD!

So THEY were Hogan, Bischoff, Jarrett, Abyss, and Hardy. In one sense I can say that I'm kind of surprised in retrospect now it seems so obvious for Bischoff, Jarrett, Abyss, and Hogan at least, Jeff Hardy turning heel is a bit of a shock.

Still overall it's sounds like one of TNA's better surprises. I wonder if Sting, Nash, and Pope were in on it too?

I think I'll catch it on DVD or replay if I remember.
